Everyone at MSLG has embraced the ideals that the firm espouses. Each individual values and supports the others in the Group and applies his or her own special talents and expertise to the development of the firm. Each person is dedicated to providing cost-effective, quality legal services to our clients and to developing long term relationships with them.
Junji Suzuki, one of the two founding members of the firm, primarily manages MSLG's transactional work. He also closely oversees the Group's relationships with Japanese and Japanese-American clients and clients with interests in Japan. Carol J. Marshall, another founding member, manages the Group's litigation and Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) practice. Carol also oversees the Group's relationships with European clients and those with European interests. Edward S. Miyauchi, a member of the California and New York State Bars, applies his considerable talents to both transactional and litigation matters and also assists with estate planning, family law, and tax issues. Tatsuro Kanazawa ably manages the Immigration Section of the Group. Under his direction, the section handles immigration work for many hundreds of individual and corporate clients each year. Dianne Oseto, who also utilizes her excellent skills as a legal assistant to the firm's litigators, primarily assists Tatsuro with immigration work. Paul Marshall is an excellent administrator and paralegal who lends invaluable assistance to both litigation and ADR work. Miho Takeshita, very ably handles a wide variety of legal and administrative tasks in her role as Legal Assistant, and is always ready to lend a hand and creatively contribute to any project. Yasuaki Yamamoto provides the solid technical support we all rely on. Chihiro Saito is our office manager. Chihiro usually greets you when you come to our office and pretty much oversees all the tasks which keep the operations of the Group running as smoothly as they do. On the substantive side, Chihiro assists with corporate formations and other corporate business.
Many of the Group's members are bilingual and/or bi-cultural, a fact which contributes to MSLG's global focus. The firm also works in close association with other practitioners in certain highly specialized areas which are outside the scope of our normal expertise. This flexibility enables us to control our ongoing overhead expenses while allowing us to expand our ranks and swell our experience pool when necessary. We are thereby able to provide the precise skills our clients require without unduly increasing their costs.
Each person at MSLG works very hard to make sure that our clients' needs are met in as expeditious and cost-effective a manner as possible. MSLG is truly a team with plenty of team spirit and a team attitude. It is a team our clients like having on their side.
